T he choice of heat source for domestic heating will depend on several factors. Independently, K.T.E.T. produces heating elements for numerous electric heating applications as well as for equipment using electric heating elements as complementary heat source or for functions where electric heating is needed..
E lements for domestic heating applications such as electric radiators, convectors and towel dryers, have been produced since the very start of KTET and are still one of the largest product areas in the Backer group. During the last few years, the demand of new heating elements has been intensified and KTET is continuously testing complementary technologies in the development of elements for electric heating applications.
I n all kinds of freezing, cooling and climate controlled plants there is a need for some kind of defrosting. KTET provides different technologies for this purpose, tubular elements being one of them.

C ast-in elements can be used for indirect heating of liquids for instance in tanks, but also for direct heating in oil pre-heaters. KTET tubular heating elements can be produced cast-in in an aluminum alloy. The cast-in technique offers advantages such as influencing the temperature regulation of a large mass, uniform heat emission and low operating temperatures thanks to the fact that surface enlargement can be integrated with the element. Embedment of a tubular heating element increases its heat-emitting surface and makes it possible to adapt the element to different applications.

TET manufactures screw plug immersion heaters for heating of water and oil. Available in copper, stainless steel or stainless steel with brass plug. Plug available in 1″, 1 1/4″, and 2″.
Immersion heaters are used as heat source in domestic water heaters, dish washers, industrial baths, oil radiators and towel dryers among others.
The immersion heaters are built with tubular elements with flanges, nipples or plugs soldered or welded onto them. The immersion heater can be fitted with thermostat, temperature limiter and connection box. There are also thermostats and temperature limiters for mounting inside the tubular element.
As alternative we also offer immersion heaters made of ceramic elements. KTET holds a standard range of immersion heaters on stock for water or oil heating, in different designs for fast delivery.
